Gerard Cosmetics Review!

Hey sweet loves :)

So, I have done a long sought out review of Gerard Cosmetics over a span of a few months since my first purchase, I wanted to really get a feel from it, considering they haven't been around for the longest, longest time, and it isn't just like MAC Cosmetics, where everyone and their grandma and fourth removed cousin from Kentucky has tried it at some point haha :)

So, from reviews I have heard from my favorite bloggers such as Jaclyn Hill, Samantha from Batalash, and many, many others, I saw a lot of "complaint" comments of subscribers being annoyed thinking that they were "paid" to say the positive things they did, so, rest assured, I by no means got paid to do this or was sent anything for free (minus one thing, I'll explain) I mean, yes, I am a beauty blogger, and I utterly LOVE makeup, and have been a freelance artist for quite some time, but I only have few followers, so you can trust I never post a paid post, unless otherwise disclaimed :)

Now, on to the review portion of this! Grab a cup of coffee, sit down, relax, unwind with me, and throw some Justin Timberlake on, and let us debrief together :

// How was your day? How is that coffee? Ready for some fun Gerard Cosmetics-ness?:)

"1995"

"Tequila Sunrise"

"Coral Craze"

For starters, a few months back, around February or so, I made my first purchase from GC, I had a coupon code to get a duo of lipstick and gloss for $20 and free shipping, so I purchased two babies that Jaclyn Hill created with the Gerard team, Buttercream gloss, and 1995 lipstick which is supposed to be the perfect 90's Kylie Jenner lip color :) first experience with Gerard was absolutely brilliant, fast shipping, getting a full size gloss and lipstick for $10 each is a steal, and overall, I was well pleased!

// Enough to make a second purchase a few weeks later, same deal, $20 duo, free US shipping, and got Coral Craze gloss with Tequila Sunrise lipstick! Wanted to get my hands on some summer shades, and yet again, great experience!

Now for the break down, of the product, customer service, packaging etc.

// PACKAGING: The packaging is all a metallic-ey gold plastic case, shaped like MAC bullets, but slightly bigger! Overall, pretty good! Not quite as sturdy as I would like, but irregardless, still super good! The gloss packaging is much sturdier, and also includes a light in the cap AND a mirror. I know a few people think that seems gimicky, but I love it. I think it's genius for when you're in the dark, and need to re-apply!

// PRODUCT: I love the lipstick itself, it's considered a matte finish, but is more of a satin, it doesn't dry out my lips too bad, I am a matte lipstick hoarder though, so any bit of "dryness" doesn't really phase me because I love matte! The lip glosses are pigmented, and wonderful! They aren't too sticky, but they stay in place without sliding all over your face! They also have BB Cream, highlighters, teeth whiteners, etc. and many, many more that I've yet to try that I am dying to try, but I love the lip products fiercely!

// PRICES: Okay, so, an individual lipstick from GC is $19, and a gloss is $24, which likely sounds like a lot, but the bundles and deals they CONSTANTLY have is amazing! A $1 more, and you can get a gloss and lipstick, or 4 products for super cheap, and these aren't once in a while deals like other brands, they have these 24/7. So I personally don't mind the price because I love the quality, and the deals end up being such a killer price!

// CUSTOMER SERVICE: okay, so, this is truly like a 100000/10. I have never in my life experienced such brilliant customer service, and that made me love the brand that much more! I've recently dealt with some yucky customer service from one of my favorite brands and it has turned me off severely from this brand, so dealing with amazing service from a variety of women over at Gerard Cosmetics was a thorough surprise and down right blessing! I mention the variety of people part, because I didn't just get "lucky" with one person in service, I had about 3 of them that were all brilliant, super kind hearted, and just over all amazing!

Let me dig deeper onto this aspect, I had a light in my lipgloss that didn't work, and asked Gerard Cosmetics team how to fix it, and one of my lipsticks wasn't rolling up, honestly not even big deals, I just asked how to fix it, I was planning on just depotting my lipstick, it wasn't a big eal at all, they literally got back to me within 10 hours of emailing them, and right away sent me brand new products for the "inconvenience", and I said I would mail back my problem products, and they kindly said I could keep them and not have to worry about it. 3 days later, the new products were in my mail box. I honestly was so blown away by this, and SO grateful for them, they included a hand written card in there and a fantastic GC pen ;) I feel so official using that pen haha!

I am referencing my emails back and forth with them right now, and the lovely women who helped me were Jennifer, Cari, and Gina. So, to the wonderful and beautiul team of Gerard Cosmetics, thank you immensely for having such incredible customer service and customer care. This honestly made me love Gerard Cosmetics a million times more than I already did, so there you have it, and honest, 100% unpaid review. I truly do love Gerard Cosmetics, and will continue to purchase from them over and over again! I plan on getting my hands on their newest lipstick shade, Underground, soon! It's a killer dupe for Limecrime Cashmere :)

OVERALL RATE: 10/10 easily, not just because of the customer service, but also because the product and deals are to die for!
